St Mary’s, West Chinnock, pictured above

St Margaret’s, Middle Chinnock and St Mary’s, West Chinnock form part of a larger group of seven local parishes (a Benefice) known as the Ham Hill Villages Benefice.  The other five parishes are Chiselborough, Montacute, Norton sub Hamdon, Odcombe, Stoke sub Hamdon.  The Benefice Rector is Revd. Nick Clarke and, following her appointment in July 2023, Revd. Coelette Parkes is the Benefice Curate.
 
The current monthly pattern of services for St Margaret’s and St Mary’s  is shown below.  This pattern may change at Christmas and Easter and on special days e.g. Remembrance Sunday.
 
  • 1st Sunday           11.00am West Chinnock                Common Worship Communion
  • 2nd Sunday          9.30am Middle Chinnock              Common Worship Morning Prayer                          
  • 3rd Sunday           4.00pm/6.00 West Chinnock       Family Service (the earlier time from October to March)
  • 4th Sunday           9.30am Middle Chinnock              Common Worship/BCP Communion (alternating)
  • 5th Sunday           11.00am     one service for the whole Benefice held in turn in different parishes
 
Both churches are open daily for private prayer and contemplation from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
